Ghana winger Nana Ampomah supports coronavirus fight with donation to Narh-Bita Hospital

Ghana winger Nana Ampomah has become the latest football star to donate in aid of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Black Stars winger on Saturday donated Veronica buckets, 500 pieces of hand gloves, three boxes of hand sanitizers and ten boxes of bottled water to the Narh-Bita hospital at Tema Community 4.

The items also include three bundles of tissue paper, twenty bottles of liquid soap and an unspecified amount of money.

Ampomah is one of many Black Stars players who have gone beyond social media campaigns to donate items in aid of the battle against the virus.

The gesture to the hospital where Ampomah was brought forth also demonstrates his appreciation to the hospital and all health officials at the frontline of the fight.

The management of the hospital expressed gratitude to the player.

Ghana has so far recorded 141 cases with five confirmed deaths.

The government has as part of efforts to control the spread declared a two-week lockdown of some parts of Accra, Kumasi, Tema and Kasoa.

The lockdown takes effect from Monday, March 30.
