Former Asante Kotoko Administrative Manager, Ben Nti says supporters of the club have no right to ask the owner of the club Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to audit the administration of Dr. Kwame Kyei.

Dr. Kwame Kyei’s reign as Executive Chairman has come under several scrutinies over the past few weeks as a section of the fans and former management members particularly Mr. David Serebour are calling on the owner to audit the accounts of his employee.

Responding to the request of the fans in an interview with the Kumasi based Oyarepa FM, he said the only people who can advise the club’s owner to take such a decision are the council of elders at the Manhyia Palace and not the fans.

“Nobody advises Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the only people I know of are his council of elders which means as supporters we have no locus to tell Otumfuo to ask Dr. Kwame Kyei to account for his tenure at Kotoko.”

“I have heard Serebour on Oyerepa FM that he’s ready to foot the bill for Dr. Kyei to be audited, that’s the same thing he did to Dr KK Sarpong and later apologized"

He added that some of these pressure from the fans forced him to resign from his position during his days as a management member.

“These are the reasons I resigned from Kotoko. These things are unhealthy. The club is for his royal majesty and it beholds on him to take any decision at any time. Who knows? The audit work might be ongoing” he concluded.
