Karela United head Coach Enos Adepa says he’s not surprised that calls for his dismissal from the club keep intensifying.

Adepa has fallen out of favor with the club’s hierarchy and fans after supervising what has been a dismal beginning to life in this season’s Ghana Premier League.

After 15 rounds of matches, Karela United have managed a paltry 11 points and are lying in the relegation zone on the league log. Their record this season stands at 2 wins, 5 draws and 8 defeats and during this period they have scored a lowly 13 goals while conceding 20.

There are fears the club could fail to turn the tables around for good if Adepa remains as head coach. Some fans have resorted to protesting vehemently against the coach and want him removed from his role immediately.

Speaking after his side’s home defeat to AshantiGold on Sunday, Enos Adepa responded to questions about his sack being imminent in a relaxed mood.

The under pressure boss said he was not surprised at how events have unfolded due to their form on the pitch.

“It is normal anywhere, if the results are not coming, they attribute it to the coach not been good. But if for instance we had won, then the boys are good. Always if it’s in the negative side it is the Coach but the positive goes to the players,” he said.

“It’s normal when the supporters are yearning for your dismissal, it's normal everywhere” he concluded.

Enos Adepa, a former league winning tactician with Wa AllStars four years ago has struggled to replicate the form that took him to such heights.

Media reports on Monday indicated that Karela United have indeed parted company with Enos Adepa with the termination decision taken mutually.
