10 Ashantigold Academy Players For Qatar

Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence a reputable Sports complex based in Qatar has shown interest in 10 talented players of AshantiGold Under-14 Soccer Academy. The players will enjoy a four-year scholarship deal and would be allowed to visit home yearly.

The programme has been made possible following the CEO of AshGold Capt. Andy Sam?s tireless efforts to showcase and promote the Club?s youthful talents worldwide.

The representatives of Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence visited Obuasi for a two-day intensive justifier and 10 players have been short-listed. The players alongside their parents/guardians are expected to emplane to Qatar by 26th September 2005.

The players include Abdulai Nuredeen, Alex Konadu, Emmanuel Adjei, John Benson, Frederick Amankona and Derrick Offei. The rest are Augustine Okra, Isaac Ofori, Emmanuel Osei and Musah Fofana.

The CEO hinted in a meeting with the parents and guardians of the players at the Conference Hall of AshantiGold that the performance of the first batch of players would pave the way for others to benefit from the programme, which is expected to repeat next year.
