Supporters of Accra Hearts of Oak have blamed interim Coach Edward Odoom for the team’s woeful performance in the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Rainbow club who are yet to lose a game since their defeat to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko but have managed just two wins in their last six games.

Odoom’s charges have been held by Ashgold, Aduana Stars, Karela and recently Elmina Sharks in their last six outings with their two wins against Dreams FC and Bechem United.

Despite not losing a game since matchday six, fans are unhappy that the team has not been able to pick up maximum points in their last couple of games.

Following their 1-1 stalemate with Elmina Sharks in Matchday 12 at home on Sunday, some angry and disappointed supporters queued up at the car park to express their frustrations about the team’s abysmal performance.

For the supporters, their only desire was to see the team win consecutive matches which Odoom and his charges have failed to deliver.

Some supporters who spoke to the media after the game accused the coach of underperforming, and questioned Odoom’s tactics and inability to sign any player during the transfer window.

Another incensed supporter also questioned why the coach has been unable to win two consecutive matches since taking over from Kim Grant. For him, management of the club must investigate why the players have dipped in performance since the departure of their former coach.

Hearts of Oak’s currently lie 9th on the league table, six points adrift of leaders Aduana Stars. Their next game will be an away game against Inter Allies.
