Birmingham Joins Race For Appiah

BIRMINGHAM CITY have joined the race for Juventus midfielder Stephen Appiah, according to a report in the News of the World.

The 24-year-old is also being linked with a move to Middlesbrough and Juventus would want a fee of around ?5million.

Steve Bruce is keen on adding another midfielder to the ranks before the season starts after missing out on Scott Parker and Lee Bowyer.

Appiah has struggled during his time in Turin, and a move to England could be just what he needs.
