Ashantigold Host Power Rangers Of Nigeria On Sunday

AshGold battles Power Rangers of Nigeria on Sunday 19th June 2005 in a preparatory friendly encounter towards the resumption of the premiership at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.

AshantiGold showcased some new players in the likes of former AshGold goal poacher Kofi Deblah, Moses Tetteh, Richard Osei, Fatau Huseni and Kwaku Phinehas and managed a 1-0 victory over division one side Samartex last Wednesday at the Len Clay Stadium courtesy Matthew Attiogbe?s first half strike.

Though AshGold could have registered a cricket score line but there was lack coordination and cohesion due to the fact that AshGold paraded mostly new players depriving the miners from winning convincingly. Nevertheless the head coach of AshGold Hans Der Pluym is bound to make amends and appease the teeming fans of AshGold come Sunday when they meet a professional club from Nigeria, Power Rangers that promises to be a cracker. Meanwhile Emmanuel Osei Kuffour who staged his maiden appearance in the league match against Gomoa Feyenoord has urged the fans to rally behind the players and troop to the Stadium in their numbers in order for the club to achieve the Herculean tasks ahead.
