Attilku Strike Saves Assyriska

A strike by Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Attiku with only two minutes remaining, saved his team Assyriska from existing the Swedish Cup at the hands of rivals ?rgryte on Tuesday.

With the match tied at 1-1, Assyriska went ahead to beat their opponents 5-3 on penalties.

The victory sent the Attiku?s team to the quarter-finals of the competition.

It was his second strike in two matches leading his team to victory on both occasions.

His performance for his new team has captivated football fans in Sweden, with many believing that he is destined for an exit from the team to a top European club but he has played it down.

?I am concentrating making my team perform well in the Swedish league,? he said.

However, Attiku is not the only Ghanaian to have contributed to the recent rise of Assyriska.
