Brock wins Achimota Medal

Accra, May 15, GNA - Albert Brock returned 68 net to win the Achimota Golf Club May Medal competition played at the Achimota Golf course in Accra on Saturday.

Brock who played 40 in the first round and 41 in the second round with a handicap of 13 will now be playing to a new handicap of 11. Clement Squire took the second position with 73 net to take the other prize in the Group 'A' event, which was sponsored by Toyota Ghana Limited.

Charles Appau beat Bob Evans on count-back after they had both returned 73 nets to share the prize in the Group 'B' category while Master Castagnan won the Juniors event with a net score of 60. Mr David Atuwo, Competition Secretary of the Club announced that henceforth junior players of under 10 years will now play up to Hole Nine while 11 to 13 years will play the full 18 Hole. He called on the members to be time conscious so that competitions are played and completed on time.
