Newly-elected Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku will officially resume his four-term today.

He takes over the mantle of the running of the Ghana Football Association from a Normalisation Committee put in place by FIFA over the last one year.

The experienced football administrator was sworn in as new leader of the West African nation’s football governing body on 25th October, 2019.

Kurt beat off stiff competition from five other contenders to become the 24th President in the history of Ghana football.

The 48-year-old former sports journalist was endorsed with 93 votes in the third round after his closest challenger, George Afriyie, had conceded defeat.

He will serve an initial four-year term with an additional four-year term if re-elected into office.
