U23 AFCON: Foreign based players expected in camp on October 20

Black Meteors Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko is expecting the foreign based players to join camp on 20th October ahead of the AFCON under 23 tournaments in November.

The team begins preparation with only the local based players at the El Wak stadium as they await for the arrival of the foriegn based players join the team later.

The likes of Micheal Yeboah, Dauda Mohammed, Bernard Tekpetey, Majeed Ashimeru, Gideon Mensah etc are expected to join the team for the tournament on October 20 before the team wrap up camping in Ghana.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side have been drawn against hosts Egypt, Mali and Cameroun in Group A.

Ghana will battle Cameroon in the opening group game at the Cairo International Stadium on November 8, with the final at the same venue on November 22.
