Former Vice President of Ghana Football Association George Afriyie has called a bluff to those calling for the disqualification of the Old GFA members in the upcoming GFA Presidential election.

According to George, FIFA didn’t bring anyone outside the federation to replace Sepp Blatter after various corruption charges was levelled against him.

Afriyie, who is contesting for the Ghana Football Association Presdential position insisted running football is not a child play and competent people must be elected to steer the affairs of the Association.

“Those saying the members of the old GFA administration should be disqualified should also say same to the clubs that were in the old administration too.

“We don’t do that anywhere, when Issah Hayatu was exiting the scene, it took someone within the old CAF structure to replace him and same happened when Sep Blatter was leaving FIFA.

“Running of football is not a child’s play and we need very serious and competent people to be at the helm of affairs” he told Nhyria FM Sports.

Bankroller of Tema Youth Osei Kweku Parma, CEO of Phar Rangers FC Nana Yaw Amponsah have all announced their intentions to contest for the next GFA Presidential election.
