Solomon Asante named in USL Championship team of the week

Ghanaian winger Solomon Asante earned a place in the USL Championship team of the week after a stupendous performance for Phoenix Rising FC over the weekend.

Asante netted twice from the penalty spot over the weekend to guide his side to a record 15 unbeaten games at home as well as record 14 straight wins in the USL championship this season.

The winger is the top scorer in the league with 18 goals as well as leading the assists chart with 13 so far in the season.

He has over the weekend become the club’s top scorer in history with 32 goals since joining 2 seasons ago.
