B.S. Pelicans FC whitewash Shalom FC in Eastern Cup competition

B.S. Pelicans FC from Nsawam went to Ahwerease Damang to humiliate host Shalom FC by five goals to nil in the round of 16 of the Eastern Cup competition played at the weekend.

Michael Nti, an attacker from Pelicans got a hat-trick for his team as the visitors showed their dominance against the home team at their own backyard.

Other matches played in the first league in the round of 16, saw Kade United holding Achiase Jungle FC to a goalless draw at the Achiase Methodist Park.

At the Somanya Carol Grey School Park, Bazuka FC defeated Cardiff City FC by 3 goals to 2.

I Shall Be FC also won at home by a lone goal against K. Nyarko Victory FC at the Brekumanso L/A School Park.

At the Akuapem Mampong Park, Phar Rangers showed their superiority by thrashing Top Heroes by three goals to one, while, K.K Adonteng FC lost at home by a lone goal to Real Tigers FC at the Koforidua GHANASS School Park.

Former Division one team, Okwahu United lost away by a lone goal against Storm Academy at the Mpreaso Brighten Park in a local derby.

The match involving Eastern Parkers and Akosombo United FC was rained off and so was rescheduled to be played on Monday at the Apegusu Presbyterian School Park.

The return matches for the round of 16 are scheduled to be played on the 7th of July, where Cardiff City FC play host to Bazuka FC at the Oyarifa Presbyterian School Park.

Akosombo United host Eastern Parkers FC at the Akosombo Presbyterian School Park, while, Phar Rangers would be guest of Top Heroes FC at the Koforidua GHANASS School Park.

Okwahu United host Storm Academy at the Nkawkaw Sports Stadium and B.S Pelicans FC will invite Shalom FC to the Pelicans Community Park at Nsawam.

At the Adarkwa M/A School Park, Real Tigers FC will lock horns with K.K Adonteng FC, while, Kade United play host to Jungles Stars FC at the Kade Roman School Park and K. Nyarko Victory FC battle it out with I Shall Be FC at Maamakrom Park near Adeiso.
