Asante Kotoko ready for AshGold clash on Sunday - Sarfo Duku

The Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Duku has stated his side's readiness for their cup game with AshantiGold on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko will take on AshantiGold in a cup game to honour former Ghana President John Agyekum Kufuor at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The match forms part activities to raise GH?80 million Ghana cedis in the next five years for the President Kufuor foundation programmes.

Sarfo Duku believes AshGold will hand them the needed test going into their CAF Confederation Cup play off with Cameroonian side Coton Sport.

"For us this match is very important because it is a game we are playing to honour our former board chairman, the President John Agyekum Kufuor, secondly we are preparing for our game against Coton Sport and i believe AshGold will hand us the needed test," he said

"We are looking forward to winning our first trophy of the year so we are taking the match very serious."

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is expected to be in the Stadium on Sunday to grace the occasion.
