Asante Kotoko will augment their squad if they qualify to the Group stage of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors will take on Cameroonian side Coton Sport in a two-legged tie to determine their qualification to the knockout stage.

The Ghanaian giants travel to Cameroon for the first leg on 11 January with the return leg fixed for 18 January in Kumasi.

Kotoko faces their biggest task in the qualifying campaign after dispatching Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks over two legs last month.

Kotoko spokesperson Sarfo Duku has revealed the club will fortify the team if they secure passage to the knockout stage.

"Management will give coach CK Akonor the needed support to beef up the squad when we qualify," Duku told Asempa FM

"I believe that for the first time in 9 years, Kotoko can qualify to the group stage with determination.

"Our game against Coton Sport won't be easy but we are ready for the task ahead."
