GFA appoints referees for mid-week matches

Accra, Oct. 18 GNA - The Ghana Football Association has released the names of referees to officiate in the Week Eight mid-week Premier league matches with Accra-based FIFA Referee, Alex Quartey handling the Bofoakwa verses Kumasi Asante Kotoko top liner at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Wednesday.

Referees Fifi Gyan and David Layea both from Accra are to be the Assistant Referees for the match while Mr J.A. Essel from Cape Coast is to be the Match Commissioner.

The Berekum encounter between Arsenals and AshantiGold would be handled by Referee J. K. Mortey from Tema with his assistants being referees D.Y Asare and Victor Dwamena both from Tema whilst Mr Joe Arthur of Kumasi is the Match Commissioner.

Real Tamale United (RTU) play hosts to Okwahu United at the Tamale Kaladan Park in the match to be officiated by Cecil Fletcher of Takoradi. Ashitey Armah from Accra is to be Assistant Referee One with Michael Fletcher also from Takoradi as Assistant Referee Two while Mr C. W. Okai from Bolgatanga would be the Match Commissioner.

The Kumasi encounter between King Faisal and B.A. United would be handled entirely by Accra based referees with Kwao Sampson in the Middle while referees A.S. K. Annor and J.A. P. Sowah as Assistant Referees One and Two while Mr A. P. Agbovi from Koforidua would be the Match Commissioner.

The Accra match between Accra Great Olympics and Liberty Professionals would be handled by Referee O.K Amakwah of Accra, with Francis Okwam and J.K. Mumford also from Accra as Assistant Referees One and Two while the March Commissioner is Mr J. Johnfia also from Accra. At the El Wak Park where Tema Real Sportive is hosting Kpando Heart of Lions, Referee John Atikese from Koforidua would be in the middle with Anim Nyarko from Adukrom and Michael Dogbe of Koforidua as Assistant Referees One and Two while the Match Commissioner is J.K. Tannoh from Accra.

Gomoah Fetteh Feyenoord's encounter with Power FCc at Cape Coast would be handled by Frank Fudzi from Denu with V.L. K. Demakpor and Yusif Jibril both from Hohoe as Assistant Referees One and Two while Mr G.S.T., Inkoom from Takoradi is the Match Commissioner.

At Sekondi, Hasaacas play host to Accra Hearts of Oak in a match to be officiated by Referee Essel Walker of Cape Coast He would assisted by E. Adzator also from Cape Coast and Cosmos Oteng from Asankragwa as Assistant Referees One and Two whilst Mr S.K. Antwi would be the Match Commissioner.
