The Ministry of Youth and Sports has described the victory of Isaac Dogboe as a quickest yet destructive ‘Storm’.

The WBO bantamweight titleholder this dawn, knocked down Japan’s Hidenori Otake to successfully retain his title at Glendale, Arizona in the USA.

A statement from the official Facebook page of the ministry read “It was a quickest yet destructive ‘Storm’ last dawn. Congratulations to Isaac Dogbe for retaining his Super Bantamweight title. Thank you for reliving one sweet boxing memories of our land…#Neho”

It was a Round 1 Technical Knock Out (TKO) by the 23-year-old who had his opponent fall more than twice in the ring after receiving heavy punches.

Back in April, Dogboe came on the world scene when he got off the mat to score an eleventh round knockout of previously undefeated Jessie Magdaleno to capture the WBO crown. And prior to that bout, Dogboe had knocked out the dangerous Cesar Juarez in five rounds in a final WBO eliminator in January.

The Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Curtis Perry Kwabla Okudzeto has extended his personal congratulatory message to the talented young boxer.

He said “Congratulations to Isaac Dogboe. Continue lifting the flag of Ghana high”
