Ghana midfielder Godfred Donsah is confident of a good serie A season despite suffering an injury setback which has ruled him out of the early weeks of the campaign.

The former Ghana youth star got injured in preseason and will miss the start of the season with Italian Serie A side Bologna.

The 22 year old has been a key member of Italian club in the last two seasons. Donsah played 28 games for the club last season scoring two goals.

His performances has seen him attract interest from several of the top sides in Italy, with Inter and AC Milan all reported to be interested in the swashbuckling midfielder.

However, the youngster has been dealt with a big blow ahead of the new campaign as he has to wait a few weeks more to start the season. But a very hopeful Godfred Donsah is positive of a better campaign.

He posted on his Instagram handle,"An injury that did not take, almost at the end of a very positive preseason and at the beginning of a very important season for all of us. But it is now time to look forward, then to work to get back stronger than before."

Godfred Donsah shot to prominence at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand 2015, and has since earned widespread praises for his performances.

The former Cagliari player recently earned a call up to the Black Stars, where he featured in the World Cup qualifier against Egypt in Cape Coast.
