Solomon Tagoe has won the third edition of the Samuel Anim memorial race held in Accra on Saturday, August 4, 2018.

The budding cycling prodigy proved beyond all reasonable doubt that, he is representative of one of the best cyclists on the local front with his superb agility and the tenacity of relentless energy on the bike.

Michael Agbugblah of City Migro Cycling club, picked up the silver medal with Maxwell Doku of Young Stars Cycling Club winning bronze in the memorial race.

Samuel Anim, a top notch cycling stelwart died in course of training towards the 2015 All African Games - Brazzaville, hence institution of this memorial race to honour exploits for the motherland.

After the race, the Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) donated an amount of Gh¢500.00 to the mother of Samuel Anim.

Shaaban Mohammed, Technical Director of GCF received the money on her behalf.

The GCF also assured Anim's mother of more donations from the entire cycling fraternity in the future.

The GCF also indicated that, the Samuel Anim memorial race would be changed from national to international in 2021 after the 5th edition in 2020.

The GCF also commended all who took part in the race and visited Anim's place of burial in remembrance of his legacy.
