Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast get facelift ahead of 2018 AWCON

The government of Ghana through the Sports Ministry have commenced the re-grassing of the Cape Coast Sports stadium of the 2018 African Women Cup Of Nation slated for November in Ghana.

The three-month long construction exercise will see the traditional Cape Coast-based Robert Mensah given a new look ahead of the eight-nation Women showdown later in Ghana.

The Cape Coast Stadium, one of the venues for the upcoming continental soccer fiesta, is set to be upgraded by green grass expert to meet the standard of CAF.

The facility and the Accra Stadium are the two designated venues to stage the 2018 African Women champion later in November.

Similar exercise is ongoing at the nation’s Wembley under the technical guidance of Green Grass Technology.
