Impact Clinic joins 2018 Millennium Marathon as official medical center

Impact Clinic was introduced as the official medical center of the Big Millennium Marathon 2018 at an impressive ceremony held at Asylum Down in Accra on Wednesday.

Dr. Alexander Akowuah, medical director at Impact Clinic said they were very happy to be associated with the 2018 edition of the Millennium Marathon which is known to be the biggest sports event in Ghana.

He said their facility offers the best medical services and they treat many ailments and diseases under one roof.

He added that as a specialist clinic they render various categories of health services such as for the eyes, skin, heart, radiology, and laboratory services.

Dr.Akowuah expressed that the Millennium Marathon is a good initiative which all Ghanaians must embrace and cultivate healthy living lifestyles.

He urged Ghanaians to participate in the marathon to be fit and healthy and contribute positively to the economy.

He hinted that Impact Clinic has a package for all registered participants of the marathon to be taken care of at a discounted rate.

The face of the 2018 Millennium Marathon, Mariam Ismail from Tanzania who graced the event urged Ghanaians and Africans in general to join the race and have fun.

She reminded fans of running that there are prizes for all registered participants and people stand the chances of winning in the mini raffles and the major raffle where a brand new Nissan Kicks SUV is at stake on September 22, 2018.

Both male and female winners of the 21km 2018 Millennium Marathon will take home $2,500 each. There is also a 5km race for families, friends, members of Parliament, the media and corporate partners.

Meanwhile, the Pre Millennium Marathon event which is a 10km race comes off on Saturday at Nima and ends at the office of the organisers. Samuel Mungara, one of the world’s best marathon runners from Kenya is coming to Ghana to partake.

Cathy Morton, Race Director of the Millennium Marathon told the media, this year’s event would be very exciting and prayed that more people are going to join. She advised companies to register their employees to run, jog or walk in the big international event.
