Ghana's leading telecommunications network, MTN, is for the second year running, headlining the South Africa (SA) Freedom Day Golf Event.

SA Golf is marked annually by the South African community in Ghana as part of South African Freedom Day Celebrations.

The event, which is in its fifth year since its inception in Ghana is anticipated to gather over 100 golfers at the Celebrity Golf course next Saturday 28th April. Competing golfers from South Africa will join their counterparts in Ghana for the much-awaited game.

Speaking on the event, the Ag. Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana Mr Noel Kojo- Ganson expressed delight at the partnership.

He said, “Over the years, MTN Ghana has established a position as the biggest supporter of sports, fitness and entertainment in Ghana and these are in line with what SA Golf represents. Last year, we had a fruitful partnership and it is indeed a pleasure for us to sign on as partners once again."

"We're looking forward to nothing short of good competition and networking at the event", he added.

Freedom Day is an annual celebration of South Africa's first non-racial democratic elections in 1994. Peace, unity, preservation and restoration of human dignity are the hallmark of the Freedom Day celebrations on the 27th of April of each year.

The Special Guest of Honour for the event is the South African High Commissioner to Ghana Her Excellency Lulama Xingwana.
