CDH Financial Holdings Limited has reiterated its commitment to sports development in Ghana with a GH¢25,000.00 sponsorship package for this year’s SWAG Awards.

The prestigious Awards, which seeks to recognise the contributions of hardworking and dedicated sportsmen and women, has received continued financial support from the investment giant during the last decade.

At a brief presentation ceremony held on Wednesday, April 19, 2018, at the CDH House in Accra, Executive Director of CDH Savings & Loans Company Limited, Mr. Martin Asamoah, who spoke on behalf of the Group Chief Executive of CDH Financial Holdings Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodee, said his outfit was impressed with the organisation and management of the Awards scheme.

He urged the organisers to continue in the same manner to ensure that well-deserving sportsmen and women are celebrated for their contributions to the development of sports in the country.

He assured the Association of CDH Group’s continued support to enhance the development and growth of the event.

Mr. Asamoah added that CDH believes in SWAG, its brand, its long-standing credibility and the idea of rewarding sportsmen and women regularly, which it has been doing for the past 43 years.

“The CDH Group will continue to support SWAG in the organisation of this event, each year, because we believe that sports is a vital catalyst for economic and social growth for every nation.

…countries that realised the potential of sports early enough are now reaping huge benefits. We believe that our partnership with you will help Ghana strategize and tap into the immense economic potential of sports for the benefit of the economy,” he added.

For his part, President of SWAG, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, expressed profound appreciation to CDH for its support and assured the company of a much stronger relationship in the coming years.

The 43rd edition of the SWAG Awards, slated for May 4, 2018, is expected to confer honours on over 30 Ghanaian sportsmen and women, who excelled in their respective areas in 2017.
