Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan is confident about their chances of beating Congolese side CARA Brazzaville to reach the first round of the Caf Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors are set for a stern test at Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat on Wednesday as they hold just a slim advantage following a 1-0 home win in the first leg encounter.

The game was certainly not without controversy as Kotoko were awarded four penalties, one of which they converted for the only goal, while CARA also spurned a spot-kick of their own.

"We are not afraid of them [CARA] in the second leg," Annan told Angel FM.

"We have prepared very well ahead of the game and we'll need our fans' support and prayers to qualify.

"I don't believe in Juju [black magic].

"[There's no need to worry about a CARA revenge because] the referee had all the penalties he awarded in first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium right.

"As I earlier said, the fans should continue praying for us to make it to next round of the competition."

The winner on aggregate will progress to the next round where Tunisian side US Ben Guerdane await.

Kotoko qualified for the Confederation Cup as champions of the 2017 Ghana FA Cup.
