WAFA striker, Daniel Lomotey is eyeing the top scorer award in the upcoming season. Lomotey, who helped WAFA to finished second in the just ended season, want to score more goals and that, according to him will be one of his primary targets in the 2017/18 season.

The player disclosed this when he exclusively spoke to FootballMadeInGhana.com on his expectations for the new season. “My expectations for the upcoming season is to work hard and focus on scoring more goals. I’m targeting that; to be among the top scorers and if possible [win] the goal king” he said.

Lomotey observed that, losing some of their key players like they did last season will take some steam out of their setup. “We are going to do our best to be among the top teams. I can’t say to anyone to expect surprises because we sold many of our players and we are now trying to be in the best shape. When the league start people will see us”.

Daniel Lomotey played 24 games for WAFA last season. He scored eight goals and assisted four times to aid WAFA’s second spot finish on the league table. He and his team would do more, he stressed.

“My performance was very good last season. I’m very happy with it but I want to improve on it in the upcoming season. I want to be the top scorer in the league” he ended. WAFA will face Kotoko on February 11, 2018 in the opening game of the 2017/2018 Premier League at Sogakope.
