Of the 9-man team, 4 made it into the quarter finals, 3 under 14 players Kenneth Adzokatse, Richard Okine and Desmond Ayaaba and 1 under 16 player Aaron Asante but none could not advance into the semi-finals, therefore losing qualification to the main AJC Championship.

In an interview with Tennisgh.com, Coach Bernard Ashitey Armah said “It was a decent performance by the youngsters; Kenneth and Richard did very well winning Silver in the 14 and under doubles team. We could have won more trophies and also gain qualification to main AJC if we had enough preparation for this championship”. He further added that team had one week preparation towards the AJC qualifiers.

Secretary of Togo Tennis Federation, Lamboni Abel gave his general assessment of this edition saying this year’s AJC was very tough and special and happy with how the juvenile players adapted to the new ITF rules (Net play: when a play servers and touches the net play must still go on).

Lumboni added that West/Central Africa has got a new Champion called Coulibaly Eliakim from Ivory Coast and believes can make an impact in the main AJC. He thanked various country coaches for producing players that lit up this year’s championship.
