Aduana Stars to battle Kotoko for Super Cup on January 28

Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions Aduana Stars would on January 28, play Kumasi Asante Kotoko, winners of the 2017 FA Cup competition in the 2018 Super Cup competition.

The match - an opener for the 2018/2019 season, would be played at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Aduana Stars secured their second GPL title last season with 57 points, while Asante Kotoko also beat rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 to lift their ninth FA Cup trophy.

The Super Cup is a competition between the champion of the GPL and the winner of the Ghanaian FA Cup in Ghana before any upcoming season.

The Super Cup was founded in 1996 and has since then been played seven times making the Aduana vs Kotoko game the eight edition.
