Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nuttall, has reiterated the need to make addition to the squad considering the vast number of players that have departed the club.

The aftermath of the 2016/17 football season has seen over 10 players parting ways with the Phobian club for various reasons.

But speaking after their 1-0 victory against Karela last Saturday, Nuttall highlighted the need to make additions to the squad if they relish to have an improved performance in the upcoming season.

“It wasn’t just the learned in the game, but a confirmation of a very small squad and the need to make some additions to the squad if we are going to be successful and build on our good work last season.

“We had a good season last year thus comparing it to the previous season but for us to progress we have to build on that. Some players have left the club, 10 in total in they have to be replaced unless we going to be left with a very small squad and that will be too much for them,” Nuttall stated.

Hearts will face Medeama SC in the second round of the G8 tournament On Wednesday.
