Juvenile tennis players who participated in the Second edition of GT Oddoye Junior Open Championship left spectators asking for more as they displayed amazing skills which drew loud cheers from the packed crowd at the Accra Lawn Tennis Club.

The week long tournament on the clay court brought together kids from Tarkwah Goldfield’ Tennis Club, Winneba tennis club St, Francis Foundation- Ashaiman, Stadium Tennis Club, Sakumono Tennis Club, Baboo Sports Academy-Tema, GHACEM Tennis Club-Tema, Aviation Tennis Club, Army Officers Mess Tennis Club , Kaneshie Tennis Club, Atomic Tennis Club and Ghana Tennis Club Adabraka).

In the Boys 10 and under
Julius Quaye of Stadium Tennis Club defeats Justice Tiwol of St, Francis Tennis Club 4-6 6-2 10-6.

Lameck Bagerbaseh from Winneba ousted his doubles partner in the National 12 under team Yakubu Lea-Abubakir from Atomic Tennis Club-Haatso 6-1,6-2.

in the Boys 14 and under as Richard Okine of Stadium Tennis Club defeated Kenneth Addokatse from Ashiaman 6-4 7-6(5).

Desmond Ayaaba of Babo Sports Academy made his presence felt as he ousted Eric Armaah of Accra Lawn Tennis Club 6-1, 6-2 in the Boys 16 and under.
Johnson Acquah made the home fans happy as he won the ultimate trophy in the under 18 category overpowering Felix Hammond of Stadium Tennis Club 6-4,6-2.

In the ladies category, Anna Garruba of St, Francis Foundation-Ashaiman ousted Joana Bawah of GHACEM Tennis Club-Tema 4-1 4-1 in the ladies 10and under.

Yayrah Kumashie added another the to St, Francis Foundation in the ladies event as she beat Mcdan Junior Open 12 and under Champion 6-7(5) 7-5 10-7.

Aleona Naa Ankrah from Winneba won 5-3,4-2 over Helena Hammond of Stadium Tennis club in the girl's 14 and under.
All Winneba affair in the girl's 16 and under as Cindy Aidoo overcame Patricia Nyarko 3-6 6-1 10-7.

Mariama Ibrahim added another title to her club winneba tennis club as she beats Naa Mckorley of Aviation tennis Club 6-0, 6-4 in the Girls 18 and under.

Organizers of the tournament awarded some outstanding players of the tourney: Tarkwah duo Tracy Ampeh and Lisel Ampe for the most promising female and the youngest player of the tourney respectively.

Accra Lawn Tennis Club's Zinovia Botchway Alain won the Most discipline Girl

In Boys division Winneba's Lameck Bagerbaseh won the most promising player, while most discipline went to Fred Apaw and Charles Stephen won the youngest male player of the tournament.

Dr Oddoye in a speech said: "I am really impressed with the turnout for the tournament". It’s been good so far, and now for the kids. They have demonstrated that giving the push as we have done, many more talents would be raised and Ghana will be the eventual winner.”Dr Oddoye added.

He added that scholarship will be awarded to the winners in the next edition.

250 Junior players participated in the GT Oddoye Tourney.
