Bechem United centre forward, Issahaku Wontah Hafiz, has dubbed his attacking partnership with Ahmed Simba Toure as a dream. The lanky attacker switched camp from Bolga All Stars to the Nana Gyearbour Fosu II Park in the second round of the season, teaming up with the veteran Ahmed Toure for the Hunters in Bechem.

Hafiz Wontah, who was the first player to score a league for two different clubs last season, chronicled his love for Toure whiles growing up and tagged their partnership as a true description of dreams and realities. The imposing forward commended Toure for modelling his game both on and off the pitch and that the learnt from his short spell with Toure will be exhibited when the 2018 domestic season kicks off.

Speaking to www.ghanacrusader.com on his debut season in the nations topflight, Hafiz singled out his partnership with Toure as one of the positives in a long queue of lessons learnt.

“Ahmed Toure is a great player and was one of my favourite players as a young footballer growing up. When he was playing for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, I was not even thinking of playing with him at any stage but today here I am wearing the same jersey with Toure. To me it is more like a dream as I am yet to believe it. To make matters more interesting for me, Toure will tell me Hafiz you are great player and I love playing with you”, Hafiz said,.

The former Bolga All Stars attacker added, “I have learnt a lot from Toure such as his commitment to the game, goal scoring abilities and the advice he gave me. He has advised against certain things as a player and I am sure I can avoid those things to become a great forward”.

The confident attacker rounded off with the surety of filling the void left by Ahmed Toure with an eye on the ultimate prize.

“I am ready to pick the game from where Toure left us. After our last match he told me to take over his number 29 jersey, which is his favourite jersey. I don’t want to earmark any goal tally ahead of the season but I have the feeling I will fill for Toure next season”, Hafiz Wontah told Ghana Crusader

Ahmed Toure has since left for Asec Mimosa in Cote I’voire leaving Hafiz Wontah as the main target man for Bechem United going into the next season.
