Chairman of the FA Cup Committee [FACC], Mr. Kurtz E.S Okraku has prayed for a happily ever after relationship between the Ghana Football Association and mobile telecommunication giants - MTN Ghana.

MTN Ghana has kept faith with the FA Cup competition since it was revived in 2010, a feat that is worth celebrating.

Speaking to the media at a brief ceremony on Monday, December 10, 2017 at the MTN House situated on the Independence Avenue Road in Accra, Mr. Okraku expressed how elated the FACC is with regards to their relationship with MTN Ghana.

"The Football Association [FA] has never had a sweet marriage with any corporate organization in Ghana as we currently have with MTN.

"It is a marriage that is perhaps the sweetest ever. A marriage that has not had any turbulence, it's a marriage that has given birth to many national champions, and it's a marriage that the FA want to keep for better and for worse.

"We are extremely happy about this relationship with MTN and we are looking forward to perhaps many, many years.

"Usually, marriages, when they are no problems, will end in the death of one partner or the other, but we do not hope that death can break this marriage."

Kurtz Okraku also recounted the journey of the 2017 MTN-FA Cup season which ultimately culminated at the then Tamale Sports Stadium where Asante Kotoko humiliated Hearts of Oak 3-1 to lift the trophy.

"We organized an amazing MTN-FA Cup season that ultimately took all of us to the north, to Tamale. Together we saw perhaps the best grand finale ever."

"When we speak about the FA Cup, we remember what happened at the Essipong Stadium two years ago.

"When we speak about the FA Cup, we remember that amazing evening in Cape Coast [last year], but when we speak about the FA Cup, we remember the #Unmissable.

"The #Unmissable took us to Tamale to watch the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana," Kurtz Okraku recited poetically.

Meanwhile, as the head huncho of the FA Cup Committee, Mr. Kurtz E.S Okraku congratulated Asante Kotoko for emerging champions of the 2017 MTN-FA Cup competition.
