Former Bechem United forward Abednego Tetteh has debunked reports that he has joined Asante Kotoko ahead of next season.

Tetteh, who is currently a free agent after terminating his contract with Ethiopian outfit Jimma Abba Jiffar just one week after joining the side, has been linked with a move to Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, a club that he's spoken fondly of in the past.

Reports went rife last week that 27-year-old has closed a deal to join FA Cup holders Asante Kotoko, who are keen to augment their squad ahead of next year's CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

Tetteh has however confirmed that he's been approached by one of the club's management members but says nothing concrete has been concluded.

"Yes I have talked to an official at Kotoko but no negotiation has been done, its not true I have signed for Kotoko. Not yet,"Abednego Tetteh revealed on Nhyira FM.

The Porcupine Warriors laboured to score goals in the domestic campaign, finding the back of the net on just 23 occasions in 30 league matches last season.
