Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has confirmed he will be moving to Turkish side Galatasaray at the end of the season, according to reports in Turkey.

The 27 year old was on the verge of joining the club in the summer but Juventus and Galatasaray could not agree on a deal.

However, Asamoah in a text to Turkish news portal Fotomac confirmed a move to Galatasaray is imminent next summer.

“We agreed on this summer. I gave my word to Galatasaray, I will never go back. Now I think of Juve but Galatasaray is important to me and I’m following all the I am really looking forward to being part of this team,” the supposed text message sent by the Ghanaian according to Fotomac.

The former Udinese star could have joined the club this January but a new rule block players from moving to the Turkish club this winter.

Asamoah is believed to have already bid farewell to his Juventus teammates.

The former Liberty professionals player has struggled to get play time following persistent injuries at the Italian giants.

Kwadwo Asamoah has won five Scudetto titles with the club with three Italian Super Coppa titles and three Copa Italia.
