Accra Hearts of Oak Public Relations Officer, Opare Addo thinks the punishment handed by the GFA Disciplinary Committee to referee Prince Amoah wasn’t enough after his poor decision led to their draw with Aduana Stars in the just ended Ghana Premier League

Opare stated that the punishment should have been huge to serve as a deterrent to other referees who dream of influencing the outcome of games.

“If the referees know that when they contribute to the results of a game and the punishment would be lenient, they will always do it,”Opare Addo told Atinka TV

“I believe he should have been given a life banned to serve as a warning to others. The indifinite suspension to me is not enough because he can return at anytime”

“It is the clubs that suffer at the end of the day, I think something should be done because at the end of the day the banned does not benefit the club in away,”

Referee Prince Amoah was handed an unlimited suspension on Wednesday by the GFA Disciplinary Committee after Hearts of Oak lodged a protest against him for his poor performance in a league match against Aduana at the Accra stadium which ended 2-2
