The Dorma Park will be locked down next week as renovation works start ahead of Aduana Stars participation in the CAF Champions League next year.

The work on elevating the stadium infrastructure to international standards ahead of the continent event will shift into top gear soonest.

The stadium will be closed down after the Aduana Stars coronation match against regional rivals Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

The Nana Agyeman Badu Park will be given a massive facelift ahead of the side's involvement in Africa elite inter-club competition.

Aduana Stars are bent on using the facility as their home venue for the CAF Champions League but are aware it will be require a massive face-lift to be passed fit to host international matches by the continent's governing body.

The club's Chief Executive Albert Commey has confirmed plans to renovate the facility.

"The Dormaa Park will be closed down after Sunday's coronation match for renovation works to meet CAF's standard for CAF Champions league matches because we want to play at Dormaa, the park will get a face lift." he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.

The Fire side clinch their second Ghana Premier League two weeks ago.
