Cruiserweight Champion Bastie Samir says he is ever ready to give Braimah Kamoko better known as ‘Bukom Banku’ a rematch after he knocked out the big mouth boxer in round seven of their fight dubbed ‘Make or Break’ at the Bukom Boxing Arena on October 21.

The much anticipated fight between the two sworn-rivals lasted 7 rounds after Bastie twice floored the hitherto undefeated Bukom Banku.

The maverick boxer, Bukom Banku started the fight as the favourite due to his experience and won the opening 2 rounds, but Samir recovered well to win round 3 where he first floored Banku.

Samir again delivered a combination of jabs and punches in unbelievable style to daze Banku in the 7th round.

However, speaking shortly after he was crowned the winner of the fight, Bastie Samir expressed his readiness to face the self-acclaimed ‘Boxing Graduate/ Boxing Ronaldo’ again.

“No problem am good, I’m always ready, so if wants a rematch I will give him that.”

“I know Bukom Banku is a strong boxer, a great fighter and I won’t take it from him, but I know am stronger and better than him. I know he can beat someone again,” he added

Bastie said “My coach trained me very well, we never came for a knock out but we said if the chance comes we would take it and that was what we did.”

“He said round six but I told him to pray hard because he won’t last after round 6. I even told him once I’m here, I have arrived.”

The Mayor of Accra presented a five thousand cedis cheque to Bastie Samir for winning the fight. The two boxers were subjected to receive GHC 100,000 cedis each whether win or lose.
