Ghana picks bronze medal in Africa Zone 2&3 Handball Championship

The National Under-18 Female Handball team picked bronze medal in a recent Africa Zone 2&3 Handball Championship played in Cotonou, Benin.

Ghana placed third behind, Burkina Faso and Benin, whilst Mali, Niger and Togo, placed 4th, 5th and 6th respectively.

The competition, was organized by the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAH), with support from the Handball Federation of France.

It was aimed at promoting the sport at the grass root level, by providing young players the platform to exhibit their talent.

The team is expected to form the nucleus of the national handball team in the near future.
