Satellites to begin camping on Wednesday

Accra May 24, GNA - The National Under-20 team, the Black Satellites will begin their maiden camping exercise on Wednesday, May 26, at Obuasi.

The camping is to prepare the team for their qualifying match against Gabon for the 2005 Africa Youth Championship.

The newly appointed coach of the Satellites, Francis Oti-Akenten has therefore invited 29 players to report at the Secretariat of the Ghana Football Association GFA to be conveyed to Obuasi on Wednesday. The invited players from the camp of Feyenoord Academy are made up of Iddrisu Abdul- Nafiu, Akuffo Midiael, Iddi Abdul Yakini, Theophilus Akpo, Asare Nana Akwesi, Samuel Asante, Yaw Frimpong, Abdul Ramahn Bilal and Abubakari Mahadi.

Others are Kotei Blankson, Felix Baffoe and Micheal Helegbe, from Liberty Professionals with Francis Andoh, Asare Boateng, Alfred Arthur, Owusu Agyeman and Daniel Asamoah from AshantiGold.

The rest are Prince Antwi and Akwasi Edusei from King Faisal, Prince Tagoe and Joseph Ababio from Hearts of Oak, Alex Ankobea and Floyd Quartey from Midjitland, whilst Douglas Nkrumah, Mark Ansah, Annan Anthony, Anaafi, Francis Mantey, Kweku Essien are from Power FC, Real Sportive, Hassacas, Ambassadors, Olympics and Asante Kotoko respectively.
