Stanbic Bank supports Asogli Tennis tournament

Stanbic Bank has presented a cheque for GH¢10.000.00 to the Ho Tennis club towards this year's Asogli Tennis tournament.

The tournament forms part of this years celebration of the Asogli Yam festival and its aimed at popularising the sports.

The support from the Bank is to add up to other sponsorship packages to the Asogli State for the festival.

Mr Kofi Larbi, Communications Director, Stanbic Bank, said the gesture was a demonstration of the Bank's commitment to sports development.

He said the Bank's association with traditional festivals across the country was to bring out the cultural values of the festivals to promote local and international tourism.

Mr Larbi said the Bank was privileged to associate with the Asogli Yam Festival and committed to developing strong and lasting relationship with the people.

Mr Kartey Kumoji, Vice Chairman, Ho Tennis Club, expressed gratitude to the Bank for supporting the tournament since 2012, adding that, the Club was gradually making the Volta region a "hub for tennis" by developing and grooming "top class" players for the country.

He said the Club had started a vacation tennis clinic for pupils to “catch them young".

This year's two-day tournament attracted tennis clubs from Tema and Accra.
