Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Wilfred Osei Palmer, has slammed Former Sports Minister, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye after lashing out at the FA after their failure to qualify Ghana for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) slated for Kenya.

According to the Honourable Member of Parliament, Ghana failure to qualify for the tournament is a true reflection of the poor state of football in the country spearheaded by the current FA who demonstrated “cow dung” management style over the management of our football.

But according to Palmer, the former Sports Minister’s argument is null and void which connote his low knowledge in football administration.

He said: “Nii Lantey is not right with his assertions, in every endeavor there are slips and you would have to learn lessons from the slips and you make sure at the end of it, you would execute your task.So when things go wrong you can't draw a general conclusion which doesn’t sit right so far as logic is concern.”

“It is not anyone's motivation to exhibit a ‘cow dunk’ management style to prevent the team for qualifying for major tournaments and am very surprised with his [Nii Lantey].

assertion. He [Nii Lantey] doesn’t understand football because you cannot capitalize on one failure to draw such conclusions,” Palmer told Asempa FM.
