Emmanuel Boateng expresses desire to lead the line for UD Levante

Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Boateng has reiterated his readiness to lead the line for new club UD Levante when the forthcoming La Liga season kicks off.

The 23-year-old sharp shooter joined the Frogs in a four-year deal from Portuguese side Morierense after scoring 10 goals in 33 appearances for the side last season.

Speaking at his unveiling, the speedy striker expressed his determination to play as the leading marksman for the club.

"I am ready to be the forward of Levante. It is a privilege to be the second most expensive signing, so there is no added pressure."

"We have to know that our goal is to remain in the League but we can look further."

"First I have to adapt to the League and the game of my teammates, after all that I'll tell you."

"I am very well with the team, we are a close group and I have been well received."

Boateng will compete with Alex Alegria for a spot in coach Juan Muniz's side in the campaign.
