Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko General Manager Samuel Opoku Nti says Ghanaian footballers are malnourished that is why they don’t grow in stature.

The ex Kotoko star pointed out that during their time, players were bulkier and had height as compared to the current era which makes the Francophone countries to bully us.

“In our playing days, we were giants and look very energetic. However, current players are too smallish because of bad nutrition and because of that the French countries bully them” Nti told footballmadeinghana.com

“It is very bad for a player to close from training and get home without food and the only food he can afford is Gari. When this happens, the player would not be healthy and psychologically he will not have a sound mind to concentrate.

Calls have already been made by football groups to the GFA to let the clubs have a minimum wage they will pay players.
