Ghana international, Raphael Dwamena is nearing a sensational switch to the English Premier League with newboys Brighton and Hove Albion ready to splash £8million for his signature.

The lanky 21-year-old scored 30 goals in 38 games last season for Austrian club Lustenau and Zurich, who were promoted back to the Super League.

The president of FC Zurich, Dwamena’s current club, Ancillo Canepa, has confirmed receiving a 9 million euro offer from Seagulls confirmed.

There is an offer from England and it is available. “But we do not want to give him for sport,” he told Swiss View

The 21-year-old moved from Vorarlberg to Switzerland in the winter of 2017, after scoring 21 goals for Austria Lustenau in 22 games – in half a year!

And also in the Challenge League, the second performance class in Switzerland.

Dwamena continues his impressive form in Zurich, having scored 12 goals and six assists in 18 games. In the current season, he has two goals from the first three games.

Now he could be in the Premier League soon: Within 13 months from Liefering over Lustenau and Zurich!

However, Brighton would probably still have to improve the offer, as Zurich President Cenapa does not want to exclude a sale, “but so far was no offer at a financial level, where I would be nervous.”

Cast in the mould of Didier Drogba, Dwamena has an unquenchable appetite for scoring goal, bagging 2 goals in 3 matches for Ghana.
