Kingsley Fobi joins Spanish side Formentera

SD Formentera have announced the signing of Kingsley Fobi, 18-year-old right-back loaned by Watford FC, he played for Granada B second division last season.

The young player has experience in international football , where he has come to debut with the selection of Ghana U-20 in championships such as the Africa Cup or the World Cup. In addition, Fobi has played in the league of his country with the Right to Dream Academy.

From the club Rojinegro have highlighted that it is one of the young promises of African football and comes to Formentera as a loan.

He is the seventh addition to the team that will compete in Segunda B. Coach, Tito Garcia Sanjuán, has stressed that it's only “a strong and fast player on the right side that will give us solidity defensive.”

“We are very happy to be able to count on him, because everything and his youth, has experience in international football which will bring us more quality,” concluded the Formentera coach.

Fobi will join the squad in the next days and will begin to work under the orders of Garcia Sanjuán.
