Asamoah Gyan gets Doctorate Degree

Ukraine’s leading university Alfred Noble University has conferred an honorary doctorate degree on Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan is Ghana’s leading goal scorer with 51 goals since joining the national team and Africa’s leading scorer at the Fifa World Cup. The event was held at the Faculty of Law of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Saturday, July 08, 2017.

The honorary doctorate degree is for his achievements on the football field and his philanthropical works.

“It’s good somebody is out there recognizing what I’m doing. I feel honored [by this gesture]. Before, I thought I was just doing it for God, but human beings on this earth have also recognized it,” Gyan said.

“I feel honored,” he told the media.
