Accra Great Olympics management member Fred Pappoe admits the Club was “unfair” to assistant Coach Godwin Attram.

Attram has confirmed his resignation as the deputy trainer for the Club.

The former Ghana international left his post after working under Swede Coach Tom Strand for few weeks.

The ex-Black Stars striker was re-assigned as an assistant Coach of the side having guided the team to qualify to the Premier League.

Fred Pappoe in an interview with Starr FM says his outfit could have done enough to keep the former Ghana Youth star at the Club.

“Attram himself was not totally against the decision to strengthen the technical team, he made quite a strong representation to us if we could get somebody strong enough and experience to work with him,” he said.

“The only difficult came with the way we as a board introduced Tom in a manner that maybe did not go down so well with Attram.

“Because he has been very loyal to Olympics right from infancy as a 14-year-old player when he joined Olympics I think in the early 90’s.”

Attram who has taken charge of his academy side Attram D’Vissar returned to Great Olympics as a player after stints in Asia before he was appointed as the head Coach of the side.
