They twin city based broadcaster is keen to play a bigger role in communities within and beyond it's catchment area.

This follows confirmation of the expansion of the Ghana beach soccer league from the Laboma Arena in Greater Accra.

The development is seen as a major boost for the exciting sand sport which has run a league since 2011 with the sole sponsorship of CAL Bank.

Vice President of the GBSA Fred Afful has welcomed the commitment of Melody FM as great news.

" This is great and very timely too as we hope that other media houses from the various coastal regions would come out and emulate the support of Melody FM.

The General Manager of Melody FM, Ekow Shanders confirmed to Ghana web that his outfit has agreed a partnership deal with Beach Soccer Ghana.

According to Mr Shanders, the decision to partner beach soccer Ghana is a reflection of his station's commitment to the fastest developing sport in the country.

"I can confirm to you that, we have agreed with the GBSA to fully cover the upcoming season.

Beach Soccer is a sport that is played in coastal communities and as an influential radio station in Tadi, we find it prudent to help promote this sport".
