Derby County step up chase for Ghana defender

Andy Yiadom Andy Yiadom

Championship side, Derby County, are keen on acquiring the services of Ghanaian international full back, Andy Yiadom, according to reports in UK.

The 25-year-old has been a subject of transfer speculation with English Premiership Side Swansea and Burnley having expressed interest in the capture of the
Barnsley defender.

Derby yesterday ended their chase for Newcastle defender Grant Hanley, as they are keen on acquiring Yiadom who can play either right back or left back.

Yiadom played 33 times for the Oakwell club in their first season back in the Sky Bet Championship.

He impressed in the back four, so much so it earned him a call up to represent Ghana in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.
