All cars for Sunday's encounter to park at Independence Square

Accra, March 17, GNA - Owners of cars who would troop to the Accra Sport Stadium to watch this Sunday's Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions league match between Hearts of Oak and Stade de Malien are requested to park at the Independence Square.

A statement issued by Mr Hamid Issaka, Public Relations Officer of the National Sports Council reminded football fans that the designation of the Independence Square as car park for sporting activities particularly football matches is still in force.

He said a taskforce made up of officials of the MTTU of the Ghana Police Service has been set up to ensure the safety of all cars parked at the square.

It said all cars parked at unauthorized places would be towed. The statement said a token fee of 5000 cedis would be charged for the packed cars.
